Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom
GRACE FELLOWSHIP SERVING OPPORTUNITIES
Auditorium Team - Ushers, Tithes and Offerings, Communion, Attendee Numbers
This team will help people find a seat and ensure anyone with special seating needs has a place to sit. The team will pass the bags for tithes and offerings, ensure our guests have communion cups when applicable, and count the number of guests each week. Picking up empty cups or bulletins after service is helpful.
Coffee Team
As members of the Coffee Team, you have the unique privilege of helping guests feel the love of Jesus through friendly and gracious conversation over a hot cup of coffee. The primary responsibility is to set-up, keep stocked, and clean-up the coffee area and pots after service. Initially, team members will make coffee at home to bring with them each Sunday and when your supplies run low, let the team lead know and orders will be placed to replenish each necessary item.
Connection Center Team
Connection Center is a seeking place, a place where guests come to learn more about getting connected here at Grace Fellowship and what being a Jesus follower means. You will need to be able to answer questions regarding their faith, how to connect them through joining a group, serving/volunteering, or questions about our values and beliefs. Our goal is to make a 1st time guest become a 2nd time attendee. Offer a Connection Card to each guest in order to get as much information as we can for our Subsplash database.
Floater Team
Be very aware of your guests and locate those that look like they are alone, need assistance, or could be waiting on someone else while sitting alone in the pew. Approach them and introduce yourself and have a kind, loving conversation. Ask where they are from, how did they hear about Grace Fellowship, etc. Help them to feel welcome!
Greeting Team – Building Entrance
Smile! Give a genuine welcome with a genuine smile. Be warm and authentic. Focus on the guest in front of you. Letting them know they are the most important person right then is extremely important! Be intentional and remember how important it is to maintain eye contact with our guests. Provide bulletins to our guests as they enter.
Kids Guest Check-in and Ministry Team
As a Kids Ministry team member, you will be welcoming new families to experience our church for the first time. Having a “guest first” mindset while you inform correctly, direct intentionally, and engage relationally while checking kids in, can help them to feel at home. Our primary goal in Kids Ministry is to welcome families, get to know their names and their children’s names. Ages 0 – 10; teach, care for and love every child.
Parking Lot Team
At present, the parking team is under the banner near the sidewalk of the parking lot. You are the ones who create first impressions by the way you smile, wave and show/guide our guests to the cafeteria entrance.
Prayer Team
This team has the ability to pray for extended periods of time on a regular basis and see frequent and specific answers to prayers to a degree much greater than that which is expected of the average Christian. They possess a gift of empathy towards others and believe in the power of God answering prayers.
Refreshment Team
This team will coordinate amongst themselves what refreshments we will have each week at the coffee station. They will decide who from their team will bring what kind of refreshment and set up the refreshments upon arrival and clean up the area after service.
Worship Team
This team is able to express their personal faith, provide inspiration and comfort through their music abiity. This could come in the form of a musical instrument, singing, or both. When they are involved in music, it provides encouragement, joy, and inspiration to others. The worship songs are singable, of truth, authentic and Spirit-led.
Sound System Set-up Team
This team is comprised of people who have a trade or craft that they can use for the good of the church. Typically, this person enjoys serving with their hands to meet tangible needs and may be described as a "handy" person. They are not intimidated by cameras, computers, lights or cables, but rather see the potential in using these tools for excellent purposes to help grow the church.
Audio / Video Team
Those who have this gift love utilizing technology to bring forth the Gospel in modern ways. They are not intimidated by cameras, computers, lights or cables, but rather see the potential in using these tools for excellent purposes to help grow the church. This team would also run the slides during service and/or record sermons for uploading to the church website/app.
After Service
Everyone: Come back to your position after the last song to say goodbye to guests. Assist with tear-down and cleanup.
